How do you explain hitting a ball three times with a broken bat and clearing the bases? How do you explain getting your hamate bone removed earlier in the season and hitting two home runs off one of the most feared starting pitchers in all of baseball (And a third one off a relief pitcher later)? How do you explain taming the sluggers on the opposing team?

How do you even explain anything that’s happened this year in this scrappy club known as the San Francisco Giants?
