The VINA Society

I first heard about the development of Hey! VINA at a networking event last year and I was immediately intrigued. The iOS app takes on the swipe-right, swipe-left approach much like Tinder, except it’s for finding fellow female friends and networking. It has been great to see it through its growth, and now I’m a part of it through the VINA Society!

As a member of the VINA Society, I use my writing and blogging skills to contribute monthly content to VINAzine, the official blog of Hey! VINA. I’ve included a page in my portfolio to showcase select pieces. You can view the rest of my articles on my author page on the site.

SF Giants + POPSUGAR + New Articles!

It’s been a while since I’ve provided an update here, but I guess contributing to a couple of my dream companies is worth writing a blog post about!

In April, I took on a part-time position as a member of the #SFG Digital Team for my most favorite sports team, the San Francisco Giants. I help create pre-game and in-game content to engage fans on the @CafeSFG Twitter and Instagram handles, as well as manage the fan social media hub at AT&T Park. It feels incredible to do the things I love most as a small job—watching my Giants, Tweeting about it, and interacting with my fellow Giants fans on and offline! Hopefully the Giants will make the playoffs once again and I will get to stick with the gig till October! You can see a sample of my work in the Social Media section of my portfolio.

A few months ago, I also started contributing a few articles to POPSUGAR as part of their Voices team. I’ve wanted to work for POPSUGAR since forever, so being part of it as a contributing writer has been a true privilege. You can view a couple of the articles I’ve written in the Miscellaneous Publications/Works section of my portfolio. Still holding out for a full-time role with them one day!

Also in the Miscellaneous Publications/Works, you can view a couple of other pieces I’ve written in the last several months for SheKnows and Fandom (Another site I hope to work for full-time in the near future).

Finally, after a bit of a blogging hiatus, I think I’m finally ready to really start taking Shower Sweat Repeat to the next level. Stay tuned!
